International Network Expectations

Activities

  • Two or more annual events, ideally in different categories (see Events section for categories)
  • Complete Pre-Event Form no less than two weeks before event
  • Complete Post-Event Form no less than two weeks after events
  • Develop Network Annual Activity Plan

Communication

  • Maintain communication with Purdue for Life Foundation staff
  • Communicate with local alumni at least 4 times a year
  • Maintain social media presence for local alumni using the preferred local platform, and include Purdue for Life Foundation staff as administrators on alumni-managed social media
  • Provide updated contact information on a regular basis and at least annually
  • Join Purdue Ties community, “Purdue International Alumni Ambassadors”

Leadership

  • No less than two involved members sharing responsibilities
  • One primary contact for the network
  • Staggered terms to ease transition
  • Serve at the discretion of the network and Purdue for Life Foundation

Representation

  • Appropriate representation of Purdue and the Purdue for Life Foundation (Statement of Integrity and Code of Conduct)
  • Comply with branding standards and guidelines
  • Only utilize alumni data for network purposes
  • Always use leadership role to support Purdue rather than for personal benefit
  • Refer to your group as “Purdue Alumni Network of COUNTRY” (or city if multiple networks in country)

  • Communicate with alumni at least 4 times a year

  • Maintain a social media presence for alumni in your location, using the preferred local platform and include Purdue for Life Foundation staff as administrators on alumni-managed social media groups
  • Ensure your Foundation-maintained website is accurate
  • Maintain an Alumni Network community in the Purdue Alumni Association Portal, which includes posting all events and responding to inquires

Membership

  • All leaders are current members
  • Promote membership
  • Member pricing for events

Data

  • Assist with contact information updates on an ongoing basis (at least once annually)
  • Sign and comply with Data/Contact Information Usage Agreement
  • Include Foundation staff as administrators on Network-managed social media groups
