Events

Events should appeal to a wide variety of alumni interests. Our ultimate goal is to create exceptional experiences for our constituents by incorporating a high level of planning prior to events and engaging in critical self-evaluation after events.

  • Social Connections: holiday parties, cultural events, lunches/dinners, or happy hours
  • Professional Development: networking events, industry/topical talks, or expertise-sharing workshops
  • Well-Being: book clubs, exercise/sports clubs, mindfulness activities, or academic lectures
  • Community Service: group volunteering, community projects, or Purdue Day of Service
  • Purdue Service: recruitment fairs, connecting with prospective students and their families, or attending Purdue events in your area
  • Virtual Connections: interviews, workshops, coffee chats, trivia nights, or virtual karaoke

 

Annual Requirements

  • Develop an annual activity plan and submit a Request for Funds form by June 30
  • Submit the Statement of Integrity form to ensure you are compliant with Purdue for Life Foundation volunteer conduct
  • Complete the Pre-Event Request at least four weeks before each event
  • Maintain social media accounts with Purdue for Life staff as administrators
  • Ensure your foundation-maintained website is accurate
  • Assist with contact information updates on an ongoing basis
  • Assign three or more leaders to share network responsibilities and ensure leaders have staggered terms
  • Provide the Purdue for Life staff with one primary contact for your network
  • Comply with Purdue for Life branding standards and guidelines
