Charlie Paddock, who brings more than 15 years of leadership experience within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movement, has been named chief operating officer for the Purdue for Life Foundation.

In this new role, Paddock will report to Purdue for Life President and CEO Julie Dussliere and support the foundation’s alumni-facing organizations—including the Purdue Alumni Association, President’s Council, and John Purdue Club—along with development, engagement, and advancement initiatives.

He will also oversee the IT and data analytics, finance, marketing and communications, and special events areas. Paddock previously served as a director at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, where he led planning and execution of all Paralympic Games operations.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Charlie for many years, and I’m thrilled to welcome him to our Purdue for Life team,” said Dussliere. “His leadership, strategic expertise, and deep commitment to excellence will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our engagement with the Purdue community and advance our mission.”

A strategic operations expert, Paddock has built a career leading cross-functional teams, optimizing complex data processes, and developing multiyear strategies in high-stakes environments. He ensured seamless logistical coordination and athlete support for Team USA while spearheading the creation of the systems and information team, streamlining data management and communication strategies across the division. With experience spanning 14 international Games, he has a proven track record of managing large teams and delivering innovative solutions on a global stage.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Paddock is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, mountain biking, fishing, and hunting.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen the power of collaboration, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership in creating lasting impact,” said Paddock. “These same values define the Purdue community, and I’m excited to help strengthen connections, drive meaningful engagement, and support the university’s mission in new and dynamic ways.”

Paddock earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics from Colorado College in 2009.
