Christine Armes serves at the Chief of Staff for the Purdue for Life Foundation at Purdue University. She provides leadership to advance organizational priorities and manages a wide range of strategic, operational, and administrative matters of organizational importance. Christine is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining all policies and procedures for the Purdue for Life Foundation and manages difficult and complex projects on behalf of the President and CEO. Additionally, she builds and nurtures relationships to serve as a resource for the President and CEO and a point of contact as designated by key constituents to resolve complex issues and help move forward strategic priorities. She also leads operations that support the Purdue for Life Foundation in the areas of centralized administrative support, talent development and facilities management.
Christine has over twenty years of experience in higher education working in administrative services, project management and senior leadership roles in areas of information technology, university development and alumni engagement. Early in her career, she worked at the University of Houston-Downtown in the Information Technology department as an office coordinator and was later promoted to project manager. At Purdue, she began working as an assistant in Ag Communications and later transitioned to special projects part-time to pursue her undergraduate degree at Purdue full-time. She graduated from Purdue in December 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Upon graduation, Christine worked for the Tippecanoe School Corporation before budget cuts impacted the teaching industry. In 2011, she returned to Purdue in the University Development Office, where she has served as an administrative assistant to the Vice President for Development, the Executive Manager to the Vice President for Development, and has been serving as the Chief of Staff for the organization since April 2019.
