Purdue Women’s Conference 2024 will take place at the Purdue Memorial Union on the university’s flagship West Lafayette campus.

We are so glad to hear this! We rely on the expertise of our alumnae to make this annual conference successful, and there is nothing we enjoy more than highlighting the expertise of Purdue women. You may request to cancel for any reason by Monday, June 3, to receive a full refund for conference costs. Cancellation requests must be made in writing. To request a cancellation, email the Purdue for Life Foundation Office of Special Events at specialevents@purdueforlife.org. Please call 765-494-0900 with questions. You may also request to cancel hotel reservations by Friday, May 24, for a full refund. Hotel reservations need to be cancelled separately through the hotel.

If you would like to stay at the Union Club Hotel, conveniently located in the Purdue Memorial Union, you can book your room today. Book by May 24 for a discounted rate of $179. Please note that canceling your conference registration does not cancel your hotel reservation, which would need to be canceled separately through the hotel. For other lodging options, visit the Lafayette–West Lafayette Visitors Center website.

You can pay to park in the Wood Street Parking Garage. Look for the spots marked with a ParkMobile sign and follow the directions to pay for daily rates. You can download the ParkMobile app ahead of time on Google Play or the Apple Store. The Grant Street Parking Garage will have limited spots only available to guests staying in the Union Club Hotel. For other parking options, refer to the university’s visitor parking webpage.

Of course not! Everyone is welcome. We believe a truly diverse workforce leads to a healthier, more resilient, and more dynamic community. While most of our attendees are women, people of all kinds are welcome. We hope our programming will be enlightening and inspiring for anyone who might attend.

Patsy J. Mellott

Fishers, IN

Patsy earned a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition in business from Purdue in 1969, in addition to an MBA in food marketing from Michigan State University in 1970. She retired from Kraft Foods in 2006 after 36 years in corporate food marketing and marketing communications management.

A community volunteer, Patsy serves on the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana Advisory Board and the Purdue College of Health and Human Sciences Dean’s Leadership Council, in addition to the President’s Council Advisory Board. She is a former member of the Health and Human Sciences Alumni Board. Patsy held several offices from 2006 through 2013, including president and treasurer. She serves her community’s Discover Indianapolis Club in Fishers, holding several leadership roles for over 10 years.

Patsy has received several honors, including the Purdue University Nutrition Science Department Hall of Fame recipient in 2009 and the Purdue University College of Health and Human Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016. She also received the college’s Gold and Black Award in 2016, an honor reserved for donors who have moved the college forward by committing exceptional financial resources.

In addition to endowing two scholarships, the Patsy J. Mellott Scholarship and Patsy J. Mellott HHS Scholarship, she established the Patsy J. Mellott Teaching Innovation Award in the College of Health and Human Sciences in 2013. In 2015, she endowed the Patsy J. Mellott Women’s Tennis Coach Performance Award. She is a lead donor in the Christine M. Ladisch Faculty Leadership Award and the Purdue Women’s Network Virginia C. Meredith Scholarship for the College of Health and Human Sciences.
