Excellence honored at alumni club and network celebration

Numerous Purdue alumni organizations and individuals were recently presented with awards during the 2025 Alumni Leader and Volunteer Conference. These honorees—and all members of our alumni clubs and networks—are central to the Purdue for Life Foundation’s mission of helping Boilermakers stay connected, get involved, and give back.

The following awards were announced during the Alumni Club Engagement and Strategy (ACES) Awards:

  • Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award

    • MaKayla McCartan, Alumni Club of Washington, DC
    • Andrew Phillips, Alumni Club of Phoenix
  • Outstanding Board Member Award
    • Sherrie Bereda, Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana
    • Randy Ramsey, Alumni Club of Southern Arizona
    • Mike Rish, Alumni Club of Boone County, Indiana
  • Boilermaker Cares: Outstanding Volunteer Award
    • Rob Blackman, Alumni Club of Boone County, Indiana
    • Deb Ramsey, Alumni Club of Southern Arizona
    • Jerry Williams, Alumni Club of Putnam County, Indiana

 

Purdue for Life also held a ceremony to honor outstanding individuals and organizations across all clubs and networks. Recognition included:

  • Purdue Alumni Association: Outstanding Young Alumni Award
    • In-state winner: Anthony “Tony” Orr
    • Out-of-state winner: Mark Aronson
  • International Networks
    • International Network Impact Award: Malaysian Alumni Association, received by network leader Kenneth Tan
    • Distinguished International Alumni Ambassador Award: Emily Tse, Alumni Club of Hong Kong
  • Affinity Networks
    • Engagement Excellence Recognition: Women’s Network of Ann Abor, Michigan
    • Philanthropy Impact Recognition: Alumni Medical Network
  • Alumni Clubs: Boilermaker Pride Award
    • In-state winner: Rebecca Lindenman, president of the Alumni Club of St. Joseph Valley
    • Out-of-state winner: Kathy Carlton, president of the Alumni Club of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania
