Comparative Oncology Research Center at Purdue to Be Named for Evan and Sue Ann Werling

The Purdue Board of Trustees has approved the naming of the Evan and Sue Ann Werling Comparative Oncology Research Center in recognition of the donors’ $10 million gift. The university will use the Werlings’ gift to establish the new center, fund the Evan and Sue Ann Werling Professorship of Comparative Oncology, and create an endowment to provide unrestricted support for promising cancer research and clinical trials.

Purdue Research Foundation and Cunningham Restaurant Group have named a restaurant coming to the Discovery Park District at Purdue. The Lawrence, named in tribute to the Beck family’s enduring impact on Indiana agriculture, is a farm-to-table restaurant that will occupy part of the planned 10,600-square-foot, multiuse Beck Barn located between Airport Road and McCutcheon Drive just off Mitch Daniels Boulevard.
