Dear Boilermaker,

I am pleased to announce new online classes for Purdue alumni and friends at a 25% tuition reduction.

These classes—made available through Purdue University Global—are in addition to 25 free classes first offered to Purdue alumni and friends on March 31 and are for students continuing on to take further coursework. Subjects in this second set of classes include business administration, health care administration, nutrition, communications, IT fundamentals, cybersecurity, and more.

For details, visit the Purdue for Life website and see the link EXPLORE FREE AND DISCOUNTED ONLINE CLASSES.

In addition, you’ll find links to online programming and enrichment opportunities including videos from Purdue Recreation & Wellness, videos by Purdue faculty offering their expertise on coronavirus-related topics, and video storytelling for the family, featuring Purdue athletes, alumni of the College of Education, and a special “Sparks of Inspiration” series by Purdue wide receiver Jared Sparks. It’s all brought to you by Purdue for Life.

I’d also like to take a moment to highlight tremendous work being done by the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Purdue faculty and staff are equipping this facility to work directly with hospitals to test human samples for COVID-19, thus increasing the state of Indiana’s capacity for coronavirus testing. You can read more here.

Even during these challenging times—or perhaps especially during these challenging times—the Purdue story is one of opportunity, persistence, and impact. My hope is that Purdue for Life can assist you and our Purdue family along the way.

Hail Purdue! Boiler Up!
