Dear Purdue alumni and friends,
In this time of unknowns and uncertainties, it’s a blessing to have something you can count on.
With that in mind, I’d like to formally introduce a new organization at Purdue—the Purdue for Life Foundation—whose mission is to stand with our alumni throughout their post-graduation lives and to extend, to our ever true alumni and friends, opportunities to engage with, support, and be enriched by this remarkable university.
As president and CEO of the Purdue for Life Foundation, I’ll be working to lead and coordinate activities and operations of the Purdue Alumni Association and the University Development Office, including President’s Council and the John Purdue Club. (You may have seen an email from me last week about Purdue COVID-19-related news and ways to support coronavirus research and Purdue students.)
I am a proud alumnus (BSECE ’91) and the former president and CEO of Technology Marketing Corporation. As the president of the Boiler Business Exchange and a member of the John Purdue Club, President’s Council, and Purdue Alumni Association, I am honored to lead this effort designed to deepen your ties to Purdue and strengthen your personal and professional development.
While so many of us are sticking closer to home and practicing social distancing, we thought it might be appropriate and helpful to offer Purdue alumni and friends the chance to explore educational opportunities that can help you continue learning and build or retool your skills and knowledge.
To that end, I invite you to visit our new Purdue for Life website, where you’ll find a link—EXPLORE FREE ONLINE CLASSES—to all Purdue Global courses that are currently being offered to you at no cost through this period of COVID-19 self-isolation.
This initial offering of courses, which will be updated regularly, is just one expression of our vision to ensure that the Purdue experience lasts not just four years but a lifetime. My hope is that with these course offerings, and more resources to come over time, we deliver on that vision.
In the meantime, we are ready and willing to address your interests and questions about our new organization. Please visit our website frequently for updates. You can also find out more information about Purdue for Life through this FAQ link.
Hail Purdue! Boiler Up!
