Welcome
The Purdue Alumni Club of San Diego has a long history of success in bringing together and engaging local alumni of Purdue University across the Club’s geographic region — San Diego, Riverside and Imperial Counties. We support local game-watch activities and also, have numerous annual alumni events including:
- Annual Dinner and Meeting (March)
- Supporting the Purdue Crew in their visit to the San Diego Crew Classic (late March or, early April each year)
- Annual Scholarship Golf Classic (May or June each year)
- San Diego Food Bank Volunteer day
- Annual Food Drive
- Annual Toys-for-Tots, Toy Drive
- Game Watch Parties
- and much, much more
In 2009 (and every year since then), the Purdue Alumni Club of San Diego attained Gold Status Recognition from the Purdue Alumni Association, West Lafayette, Indiana for excellence in programming and service to local alumni and community. This recognition has provided us with the opportunity to gain revenue sharing funds from the Purdue Alumni Association to support our local efforts. The Purdue Alumni Association also contributes $600 to $1,000 annually to Gold Status Clubs to the Club’s Scholarship Fund. The Club’s Scholarship Fund Contributions were $140,000 since it inception in 2013. Over 21 scholarships awarded since 2013 to local San Diego County Purdue Students.
The board would like to thank all of our generous alumni members and donors for your support in achieving the Club’s goals. We could not have done it without you!
To support our on-going efforts, get involved with the Purdue Alumni Club of San Diego. Fill out an Interest Survey to help us plan events. Also, join the Purdue Alumni Association. All are welcome – Purdue Alumni and friends of Purdue.
